DESCRIPTION

Max Recruitment is seeking HGV Class 1 Traction & Store Delivery Drivers for shifts at ASDA depots (ADC, CDC, or XDC).

Drivers will collect a tractor unit from one of our authorized yards (e.g. Botany Way, Tank Hill Road, Dagenham Dock) and proceed solo to the designated ASDA depot. Upon arrival, you will be assigned a pre-loaded trailer for delivery to one or more ASDA stores.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collecting and returning tractor units to their designated yards.

  • Driving to the assigned ASDA depot and collecting assigned trailers.

  • Delivering to single or multiple ASDA store locations.

  • Unloading roll cages / managing empty cages and returns (no heavy manual loading).

  • Following routing and operational instructions communicated via WhatsApp.

All shift details, assignments, and updates will be shared via WhatsApp group.

Shifts are capped at 12 hours, often less, and limited to 200 miles per shift.

This is not a full-time permanent role — typical coverage is 3–4 shifts per week, subject to client demand.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.

  • Licence held for minimum 2 years (mandatory).

  • Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

  • At least 6 months’ experience driving Class 1 vehicles in the UK.

  • Ability to understand and follow written/digital instructions in English.

  • Dependable, professional, punctual, and flexible.
