DESCRIPTION

Max Recruitment is hiring HGV Class 1 Traction Drivers for full-time night-shift work servicing our client’s logistics operations.

This position involves night traction work, collecting and delivering pre-loaded trailers between depots across the UK. Drivers will handle only trailer coupling and uncoupling — there is no loading or unloading involved.

Main duties include:

  • Collecting and returning tractor units and trailers from the designated yard.

  • Completing traction runs as per schedule.

  • Coupling and uncoupling trailers safely.

  • Conducting vehicle checks and following company procedures.

  • Maintaining clear communication via WhatsApp and with the transport team.

Shifts are typically up to 11 hours, mainly night shifts, and this is a permanent full-time contract.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.

  • Licence held for at least 2 years (mandatory).

  • Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

  • Minimum 6 months of UK driving experience.

  • Previous traction work experience preferred.

  • Reliable, punctual, and professional.
