HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER – DAYS & NIGHTS / TRAMPER

DESCRIPTION

Max Recruitment is hiring HGV Class 1 Drivers for full-time permanent positions with one of our trusted logistics partners based in the Grays / Tilbury area.

We have multiple openings available for Day, Night, and Tramping drivers.

Work involves container transport and general haulage across UK routes, operating modern, well-maintained vehicles.

No manual loading or unloading is required — all duties involve trailer coupling, delivery, and return movements.

Available positions:

• Class 1 Day Driver

• Class 1 Night Driver

• Class 1 Tramper Driver (nights out)

Shifts are usually up to 12 hours daily and never exceed 60 hours per week.

Overtime is paid after 12 hours and 45 minutes.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.

• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

• Licence held for at least 2 years (mandatory).

• Minimum 6 months of UK Class 1 driving experience.

• Experience with container or general haulage preferred.

• Reliable, professional, and flexible with shift patterns.
