Description:

Max Recruitment is currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers for our client based in Purfleet.

Drivers will be assigned their own truck, which they will keep from Monday to Friday or Saturday, and will sleep in the vehicle during the working week.

You will drive from the yard to Purfleet Port or Tilbury 2 port to collect European trailers and deliver them to UK delivery addresses.

Main duties include:

  • Coupling and uncoupling European trailers.

  • Securing or releasing loads (strapping/unstrapping).

  • Occasional assistance during loading/unloading (rarely required).

Drivers will not handle loading or unloading except in exceptional cases.

Working time averages up to 65 hours per week, frequently less.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.

  • Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

  • Minimum 2 years of UK experience driving Class 1 vehicles.

  • Good communication in English.

  • Professional, reliable, and self-motivated.
