DESCRIPTION

Max Recruitment is hiring HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers on behalf of our client operating from Luton for Amazon Relay operations.

This position involves long-distance trunking and trailer movements across the UK within the Amazon Relay network.

Drivers will be assigned their own vehicle for the week and will sleep in the cab during working days (Monday to Friday or Saturday).

No manual loading or unloading is required — only trailer coupling, uncoupling, and checks.

Main duties include:

  • Collecting and returning tractor units from the Luton yard.

  • Driving to and from Amazon depots nationwide.

  • Coupling and uncoupling trailers as required.

  • Ensuring load safety and vehicle checks are completed daily.

  • Maintaining professional communication via WhatsApp for shift updates.

Shifts can be up to 15 hours per day, with nights out during the week.

This is a full-time ongoing position, suitable for experienced tramper drivers seeking stability and consistent work.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.

  • Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

  • Licence held for a minimum of 2 years (mandatory).

  • Minimum 6 months of UK driving experience.

  • Previous tramping experience preferred.

  • Active Amazon Relay account (advantage).

  • Reliable, professional, and self-sufficient.
