HGV CLASS 1 TRACTION DRIVER – Morrisons Sittingbourne RDC

DESCRIPTION

Max Recruitment is hiring HGV Class 1 Traction Drivers for on-call, part-time shifts servicing Morrisons depots.

Drivers will collect a tractor unit from one of our designated yards — Botany Way (Purfleet), Tank Hill Road, or Dagenham Dock — and drive solo to the Morrisons depot.

At the site, you’ll be assigned one pre-loaded trailer to deliver to its destination.

This role is traction only — there is no loading or unloading involved.

Main duties include:

• Collect and return tractor units to the correct yard.

• Drive solo to the assigned Morrisons depot.

• Collect one loaded trailer and deliver it as instructed.

• Complete all work within 12 hours maximum and 250 miles driven distance.

• Follow all operational updates and communication shared via WhatsApp.

This position offers 3–4 shifts per week, depending on workload — it’s not a full-time ongoing role.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.

• Licence held for at least 2 years (mandatory).

• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

• Minimum 6 months of UK Class 1 driving experience.

• Ability to follow written and digital instructions in English.

• Reliable, professional, and flexible availability.
